Snowflake challenge, Day 3

Day 3

In your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a TV episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much.

Here's where my memory problems start to let me down. I saw yesterday's prompt and my mind was completely blank, as if I'd never read anything at all that I could rec. Then I went to my AO3 bookmarks and remembered how many amazing things people have written. Unfortunately I don't have a bookmarks section for things from canon that I've loved. That's entirely something I could start to make on here though, to remind myself where all the amazing things are.

Me being me I'm tempted just to start listing off moments from canon that tell me Wolfstar is real, but I think that's not the point of this! So instead I'm going to say it's Prisoner of Azkaban.

I used to think I'd grow out of fandom, BUT NO! )

Snowflake challenge, Day 2

Day 2

Rec at least three fanworks that you didn’t create.

I have to keep this to just three or else the list will go on forever! I decided to not rec more than one from the same fandom as well. So, in no particular order:

Harry Potter

the dogfather - T rated, 45,000+ words, fix-it AU, Harry is adopted instead of going to the Dursleys, Sirius is part of his childhood. Background-ish Wolfstar.

Tamora Pierce, Tortall

Miss Atomic Bomb - mostly T rated, a couple of E and M rated works, 96,000+ words, series of one-shots starting with a modern coffee shop Song of the Lioness AU. Mostly canon relationship pairings.
Edited to add: it's been a while since I read this series all the way through; I'm reading it again today and it turns out I entirely forgot about some of the relationship pairings! Probably equally split between canon and non-canon ships.

Dragon Age Inquisition

our wide eyes burn blind - E rated, WIP, 49,000+ words, Krem/Female Trevelyan, Krem is the Inquisitor's bodyguard and then feelings happen.

I love the writing in all of these, and I really enjoy how much story there is to get into; I have massively oversimplified them for brevity's sake. I'd completely recommend all of them to anyone with a passing familiarity with the fandoms!

Snowflake challenge, Day 1

Day 1

In your own space, talk about your Happy Place—the things that give you joy, calms you or keeps you sane.

My happy place is my boyfriend's house. My house was also a happy place until recently, but I've had to move out into somewhere that's only for a few months so won't really become home. His house is warm and happy, his housemates are friendly, and being there always feels like being hugged.

Fandom-wise, although I haven't really participated in any community for years, anywhere Wolfstar can be found will generally be somewhere I feel happy. I'm starting to find Silmarillion fandom stuff as well, and thinking about starting to write for it, so maybe I'll find a fandom home somewhere there.
