questionoftheday asks: What is the most ridiculous feud you've ever found yourself a part of?

My answer: My parents live in a tiny village near a small town. A few years ago there was a decision to merge the parishes of the village and the town and half the village boycotted the vicar and the church because of it. I wasn't really involved with the church at that point, but since my parents were on the 'boycotting the vicar' side, I was expected to join in. It was really really weird.
